the first few days snd weeks are the most important for your new tattoo. following the right steps will ensure proper healing and keep your tattoo looking it‘s best.
Leave the bandage on for 2 - 3 hours. Some light bleeding is normal after removal. The bandage helps protect against bacteria and contaminants.
Wash your hands before touching or cleaning your tattoo. Dirty hands are a fast way to cause an infection.
Clean gently with unscented alcohol-free soap and warm water. Antibacterial soap works best.
Pat dry with a clean paper towel. Never rub or scratch.
Apply a thin layer of the recommended ointment once the tattoo is clean and dry.
Repeat cleaning and applying the ointment about 4 times a day or a needed.
Keep it moisturized but avoid over-applying. Less is More.
repeat steps 2 - 7 for about 2 weeks. After that you can switch off to any unscented lotion of your preference.
In the following days, you may notice peeling, itching, or light scabbing. This is a normal part of healing. Avoid scratching or picking at your tattoo as this may cause ink loss, scarring and most importantly, increase the risk of infection by reopening the wound.
